About Kathleen

I grew up in Corpus Chrisiti, barefoot even when going to the grocery store with mom. Sailing, fishing, swimming in the surf set me up for a lifetime of longing to return, which I do frequently. Now I live in Austin with my husband, daughter and my best friend and housemate. Central Texas has its own beauty and I love the community that surrounds me. My life is good!

But in addition to the beauty and joy I’ve known, some of my writing and visual art is grounded in difficult and odd experiences.

Completed and edited my first novel—a psychological thriller; raised millions of dollars for my non-profit clients using my grant writing and fund development skills; created over 50 paintings and was selected for several juried shows; positively impacted the lives of 10 teen aged girls in the foster care system; BBA from the McComb School of Business at the University of Texas; didn’t own a car and rode my bicycle for ten years to protect the environment
